FONYUY NSOBUNRIKA Leonard ( Mr. Leo - Artist) is a creative and dynamic award-winning Afropop and afro-fusion singer, songwriter, and cultural promoter and Actor who hails from the North West region of Cameroon.
He has over 2.5 million accumulated followers across social media platforms, and over 70 Million accumulated views across streaming platforms. He has headlined major events and performed across the world with artists such as P-Square and has featured artists such as Kerozen, Daphne E.N., Revolution, Spice Diana, and Wax Dey, just to mention a few.
He began music In 2007 with the “Breakthrough Voices” of Molyko and later under the mentorship of Salatiel at Alpha Better Records. In 2014, he released the song “E Go Better” which tells the story of a young man who hopes for a better tomorrow for himself and his girlfriend. He touched the hearts of many young people who recognized themselves in him. This song propelled him to the top and made Mr. Leo the new nugget to watch out for.
Today he is a household name across French Speaking Africa and its diaspora, with two albums, several awards, and recognitions, including Knight of the National Order of Merit, Afrima Nomination, and a voting member of the Recording Academy / GRAMMYs
In 2018, he created Lionn Productions; an independent record label that has brought out talents such as Kameni, GOMEZ OBA, and Mr. Sympa, as well as championing the Lionn Initiative, an NGO with the aim to help communities in need especially young people in the creative sector. In the movie, Mr. Leo played the character Daniel whose womanizing attitude and lies telling is a major challenges in their relationship. Eventually, he portrays a repentant heart and tenders sincere apologies to Narnia Ruth.
